Portfolio

Alpha Protocol Xbox 360, PS3, PC

Alpha Protocol was the first game I started working on at Obsidian and is a spy RPG. The game used Ureal 3 and I created mostly environment art, props, texture sets and filled in level layouts created by the level design team. I had worked on a lot of game projects using Unreal Engine 3 (as a contractor) so I knew my way around using the tech and was a shoe-in.

The Art Direction was heavily inspired by the movie 'Heat' and I worked on areas that were either very yellow and blue as a result. This particular game had a steep learning curve for most of the team since few were well versed with Unreal Engine at the time. As a result I helped the level design team by splitting apart their layouts into more manageable chunks and linked them together with Kismet so that they streamed better on XBox 360 and PS3 consoles.

Duties:

Environment Art; Models, Textures, Lighting

Prop Art; Models, Textures, Lighting

Level Design 'Doctor'; Streamlined levels, cut larger areas into smaller chunks and wired up in Kismet
