Fallout New Vegas is an open world RPG developed by Obsidian. I am a huge fan of FO 1 and 2 and I was already working at Obsidian when we got the news. Color me surprised after learning that we would all get to work on a Fallout game, let alone the game that even to this day many consider to be the best in the series (a little humble brag).

My role here was primarily as a senior environment artist. I created environment assets, props, vehicles, and set dressed levels along with populating a large portion of the Mojave wasteland itself. We were a small team so there was overlap and double duty (or triple in some cases) to flesh out areas and even add in scripted design elements, triggers and narratives or easter eggs. I can honestly say that working on this game was truly a labor of love that not only I enjoyed working on, but the team as a whole.

Some key areas I created art for included the interiors and exteriors for the Tops and Gamorrah casinos, Mccaran Airport and its interior, the planes found in the airport, Helios One, the HO Tower and the mirror arrays, Caesar's Camp (the layout, fences, barricades, tents, pikes, spits, crosses), his personal area and surrounding tents, and Caesar's 'throne'.

There is also the Hoover Damn, the NCR Correctional Facility and finally, lots and lots and lots of rock formations, cell edits (each area drawn on the map you can see in the game world is called a cell) and making the world come to life with silly visual cues and random easter eggs.

Duties:

-Environment Art and Optimizations for the wasteland

-Environment Art and Optimizations for wasteland structures and interiors

-Prop Art and Optimizations

-Textures UV layouts

-World creation, some levels design and scripting within G.E.C.K.

-Scripted elements for the wasteland and several vault dungeons and casinos
