Marvel StrikeForce Mobile IOS, Android

Marvel Strike Force is a mobile game in the same vein as Raid Shadow Legends or similar team building games.

 

Made in Unity. the goal for every level was to keep draw calls below 18 and to use only 1 material for each environment (no variants). There are so many characters, UI and VFX on screen that the challenge was to make the background art overhead as low as possible. I was responsible for creating environments, lighting, testing and optimizations for mobile devices (Android/Apple). I also created PBR shaders and other performance optimizations such as texture atlases for props and VFX.

Anyone that has played the game knows that the battles are as smooth as butter and load times are nominal at best!

 

In addition, I created key art for marketing and promotional purposes along with UI elements, mockups and UI layouts when called for (usually to test out any potential overhead new UI features might bring).

The gallery below are real time levels showing their LUT profiles. Despite their appearances, only 1 dynamic light is used in each level with everything else being baked in with lightmaps, spot-vertex colors or VFX cards to fake glows, halos, and emissive bits.
